SARAJEVO, March 22 (Hina) - The mosque in the village of Orahova near Bosanska Gradiska, northern Bosnia, was damaged in the night between Sunday and Monday when unidentified perpetrators attacked it with what is believed to be two hand grenades, local police sources and Banja Luka Mufti Mehmed Camdzic said.#L# During the war in the 1990s, almost all Bosniaks (Muslims) were expelled from the village, which is now in the Bosnian Serb entity. So far about 100 villagers have returned to their homes in Orahova. Mufti Camdzic, who visited the village today, recalled that last night's incident happened exactly 11 years after the local mosque was razed to the ground in the war. In last night's attack, the walls and roof of the mosque were damaged and a few windows were smashed. The Bosnian Serb police are investigating the incident. After the eruption of riots in Kosovo last week, a building of the Islamic community in the city of Banja Luka was attacked and fire was set to a Serb Orthodox church in Bugojno (central Bosnia), burning part of the roof.
