According to a press release issued after its session, the three-man
presidency condemned every form of violence and called on the
international community to take measures so as to stabilise the
situation in Kosovo. It also called on citizens of Bosnia-Herzegovina
to remain calm and not to take any step which could lead to the
spreading of the crisis and conflict.
All bodies of authority in Bosnia will also be asked to take measures
which will ensure peace and stability in the country.
Adnan Terzic, the head of the Bosnian Council of Ministers, told
reporters that the presidency would in coming days make intensive
political efforts to encourage all countries in the region to give
their contribution to the defusing of the current situation.
"We would like to see that Bosnia which is currently the chair of the
South-East Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP) be the initiator of
efforts aimed at defusing the situation," Terzic said.
He went on to say that the local police would be given instructions to
step up security measures for all facilities in Bosnia-Herzegovina
"which could be a target of attacks of irresponsible individuals and
groups".
