ZAGREB, April 8 (Hina) - The chairman of the Democratic Centre's (DC) Main Committee, Slobodan Lang, has advocated setting up an independent commission which would establish how the directors of hospitals and other health institutions
were replaced after the 2000 parliamentary elections.

commission which would establish how the directors of hospitals and
other health institutions were replaced after the 2000 parliamentary

Commenting on the recent replacement of Clinical Hospital Zagreb
director Josip Paladino, Lang told reporters the replacement of
hospital directors should not be a political issue but one of better
health care.
He supported controlling how budgetary money was spent and if
investments were justified, as well as determining responsibility for
omissions.
