PRISTINA, April 2 (Hina) - French Defence Minister Michele Aliot-Marie has confirmed that her country will take command of the KFOR peacekeeping mission in Kosovo this autumn and expressed hope that the mission will be
successful.

"KFOR will do all it can in building peace in Kosovo and will help
with the holding of parliamentary elections in Kosovo in October," the
defence minister said at a press conference in Pristina on Thursday
night at the end of her day-long visit to the UN-administered
province.
