ZAGREB, March 30 (Hina) - The Croatian section of the international union of French-speaking journalists UPF held its founding assembly in Zagreb on Tuesday.

union of French-speaking journalists UPF held its founding assembly in

The section, which is part of the Croatian Journalists Association,
will promote the knowledge of the French language and francophonic
cultures in line with principles of multiculturalism, reads the
statute of the section.
A Croatian Radio-Television editor, Silvija Luks, was elected
president of the section.
The UPF, which is based in Paris, is a non-governmental organisation
recognised by UNESCO and has the status of an associate international
NGO at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
It has more than 3,000 members in 125 countries.
