"A new resolution on a political solution to the Kosovo crisis is
needed and it can be explained with one sentence: cantonisation now,"
Labus told the Beta news agency.
The situation in Kosovo is slowly calming down but the authorities in
Serbia are not certain if this is a permanent or temporary calm, Labus
said.
"NATO has been investing additional efforts. We welcome that, but we
expect permanent guarantees for the safety of Kosovo Serbs. After four
years, we have every moral right to demand that," Labus said.
The Serbian deputy PM also criticised the discussion at last night's
session of the UN Security Council, describing it as "lukewarm, as was
the statement".
