The Serbian government said in a statement the walk was organised in
protest over violence against Serbs in Kosovo, demanding of the UN to
immediately establish peace and guarantee security to Kosovo Serbs.
The government has also called on all electronic media in Serbia to
discontinue broadcasting at noon on Friday for three minutes and thus
express regret about the persecution of Kosovo Serbs.
