BELGRADE, March 5 (Hina) - The Serbian government will try to arrange for Serbian citizens indicted by the UN war crimes tribunal on command responsibility to be tried before domestic courts and not before the Hague-based tribunal,
Serbia's Economy Minister and vice president of Vojislav Kostunica's Democratic Party of Serbia, Dragan Marsicanin, told Serbian Radio Television.
BELGRADE, March 5 (Hina) - The Serbian government will try to arrange
for Serbian citizens indicted by the UN war crimes tribunal on command
responsibility to be tried before domestic courts and not before the
Hague-based tribunal, Serbia's Economy Minister and vice president of
Vojislav Kostunica's Democratic Party of Serbia, Dragan Marsicanin,
told Serbian Radio Television.#L#
Asked if the government would extradite the indictees should that be
the international community's condition for the continuation of
financial assistance to Serbia, Marsicanin answered in the negative.
The minister reiterated that the programme of the new government was
based on the implementation of "a two-way cooperation" with the Hague
tribunal.
