OSIJEK, March 12 (Hina) - Croatian Justice Minister Vesna Skare Ozbolt said in Osijek on Friday that the government and she personally believed that generals Ivan Cermak and Mladen Markac were innocent and that the indicted generals
would plead not guilty before the ICTY.

believed that generals Ivan Cermak and Mladen Markac were innocent and

During a visit to the Osijek County Court, the minister told reporters
Croatian government would be able to be engaged in the court's work
through the institution of "amici curiae" and try to refute assessment
which were not true
The minister said the objective was not to change the framework of the
Homeland War which was a defence war.
She said she would call a session of the Council for Cooperation with
the ICTY next week, which would also be attended by experts in
international criminal law, at which a strategy for appearing before
the ICTY would be drawn up.
