ZAGREB, March 10 (Hina) - National programmes aimed at stimulating the creation of new jobs helped 43,830 persons to find employment in the period between 1 March 2002 and the end of January 2004.

ZAGREB, March 10 (Hina) - National programmes aimed at stimulating the
creation of new jobs helped 43,830 persons to find employment in the
period between 1 March 2002 and the end of January 2004.#L#
The most successful programme was the one called 'Ucenjem do posla'
('To Train and Employ Everybody'), which helped 30,803 persons under
30 and without previous work experience to get jobs.
The programme for war veterans and the widows and children of soldiers
killed in the war employed 5,352 persons. Another programme for women
above the age of 45 and men above 50 helped create 3,336 jobs.
Other programmes were less successful.
