SARAJEVO/ZAGREB, March 9 (Hina) - Former Bosnian Serb general Bogdan Subotic, who was arrested by Stabilisation Force (SFOR) troops in Banja Luka last week on suspicion of providing assistance to war crimes indictees, was released
from custody on Monday evening, the NATO-led peacekeeping force said in a statement on Tuesday.

Subotic, who was arrested by Stabilisation Force (SFOR) troops in
Banja Luka last week on suspicion of providing assistance to war
crimes indictees, was released from custody on Monday evening, the
NATO-led peacekeeping force said in a statement on Tuesday.#L#
Subotic, who had served as a defence minister in the government of
former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic, was suspected of
maintaining contacts with his former boss and helping him to evade
apprehension.
The statement said that SFOR would continue investigating Subotic's
possible links with the network of persons supporting fugitive war
crimes indictees.
