REMAINS OF MACEDONIAN PRESIDENT TRANSFERRED TO SKOPJE

SARAJEVO, March 3 (Hina) - The remains of Macedonia's President Boris Trajkovski, and another eight Macedonians, who died in a plane crash in southern Bosnia last Thursday, were transferred from Sarajevo to Skopje on Wednesday afternoon.
SARAJEVO, March 3 (Hina) - The remains of Macedonia's President Boris Trajkovski, and another eight Macedonians, who died in a plane crash in southern Bosnia last Thursday, were transferred from Sarajevo to Skopje on Wednesday afternoon.#L# Present at Sarajevo's airport were Bosnia-Herzegovina officials, Macedonian defence and justice ministers Vlado Buckovski and Idzet Memeti respectively, and Macedonian Army Deputy Chief of Staff Miroslav Stojanovski. In a farewell speech delivered at the airport, the chairman of Bosnia's Presidency, Sulejman Tihic, said the death of President Trajkovski was a great loss not only for Macedonia, but also for Bosnia-Herzegovina. The plane carrying the remains of President Trajkovski, his six associates and two pilots of the plane, who died in last Thursday's accident, is expected to arrive in Skopje at 14.00 hours. So far, 24 foreign delegations have announced their arrivals at the Macedonian president's funeral, scheduled for Friday. Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma, Romanian President Ion Iliescu, Serbia-Montenegro's President Svetozar Marovic, head of the Bosnian Presidency Sulejman Tihic and Montenegro's President Filip Vujanovic are expected to come to Skopje for the funeral. Other foreign delegations will be led by prime ministers and foreign ministers. Delegations of the European Union, the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe and NATO will also attend the funeral. Trajkovski, his four associates, two body guards and two pilots were killed in last Thursday's accident when a plane carrying them to Mostar crashed into hills some 15 kilometres south-east of this Bosnian city.
