ZAGREB, Feb 26 (Hina) - Parliamentary deputies of the Libra party Jozo Rados and Vilim Herman on Thursday proposed that apart from the existing question time in parliament an additional 90-minute question time be introduced. The
additional question time would be held once a week during parliamentary sessions at which only one topic would be discussed, the Libra MPs told a news conference.
ZAGREB, Feb 26 (Hina) - Parliamentary deputies of the Libra party Jozo
Rados and Vilim Herman on Thursday proposed that apart from the
existing question time in parliament an additional 90-minute question
time be introduced. The additional question time would be held once a
week during parliamentary sessions at which only one topic would be
discussed, the Libra MPs told a news conference.#L#
The topic discussed during the new question time would be the current
issue of the public interest, Rados said.
Libra proposes that the question time be held at the proposal of clubs
of deputies or at least five percent or eight MPs and that government
members competent for the issues discussed during question time attend
those sessions.
Herman is dissatisfied with yesterday's question time because it
lasted only two and a half hours instead of four and because "the
fundamental democratic principle under which Opposition has more time
to ask question has been violated".
