MOSTAR, Feb 26 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader on Thursday met the international community's High Representative to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Paddy Ashdown, at a two-day international conference on investments in Mostar.#L# Sanader said that economic issues had been in the focus of his talks with the British diplomat. "I asked Ashdown to support Croatian companies' investments in Bosnia," the Croatian PM said. Ashdown said he backed regional investments, including Croatia's investments in Bosnia. In this context, he pointed out the economic vitality of Herzegovina, which he said could help the economic revival of other parts of the country. Ashdown and Sanader also discussed the Bosnian-Croatian free trade agreement which should have taken effect on 1 January 2004, but its implementation was postponed for three months by the authorities in Sarajevo. Ashdown said Sander's talks with Bosnian officials on Wednesday evening were very important. Last night, Sanader held separate meetings with the chairman of Bosnia's Council of Ministers, Adnan Terzic, and the leader of the Croatian Democratic Union BiH (HDZ BiH), Barisa Colak, in Mostar.
