ZAGREB/THE HAGUE, Feb 25 (Hina) - The appeals chamber of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on Wednesday reduced the sentence to Bosnian Serb Mitar Vasiljevic from 20 to 15 years in prison. Vasiljevic
was sentenced for the complicity in the murder of five Bosniaks in Visegrad in June 1992.

International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on
Wednesday reduced the sentence to Bosnian Serb Mitar Vasiljevic from
20 to 15 years in prison. Vasiljevic was sentenced for the complicity
in the murder of five Bosniaks in Visegrad in June 1992.#L#
Explaining the decision to reduce the sentence, the chamber said
Vasiljevic's intent to kill the five men was never proven. He is
guilty of abetting the persecution of Bosniaks which is a crime
against humanity, as well as of being an accomplice in the murder
which is classified as the violation of the law and customs of war.
