ZAGREB, Feb 24 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on Tuesday extended condolences to the Moroccan king Mohamed VI, for the terrible losses caused by an earthquake which hit northern Morocco on Tuesday, the President's Office

At least 229 people died when the powerful earthquake hit near the
Mediterranean port city of Al Hoceima,
Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and Parliament President Vladmir Seks also
extended condolences.
