TIRANA, Feb 19 (Hina) - Albania supports the United Nations' mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) and the forthcoming dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade, Albanian President Alfred Moisiu said during his talks with the UN Civilian
Administrator for Kosovo, Harri Holkeri.
TIRANA, Feb 19 (Hina) - Albania supports the United Nations' mission in
Kosovo (UNMIK) and the forthcoming dialogue between Pristina and
Belgrade, Albanian President Alfred Moisiu said during his talks with
the UN Civilian Administrator for Kosovo, Harri Holkeri.#L#
Holkeri, who arrived in Tirana on Wednesday afternoon for a two-day
official visit to Albania, held meetings with President Moisiu and
later with Premier Fatos Nani, Foreign Minister Kastriot Islami and
the OSCE Ambassador to Albania, Osmo Liponen.
The talks revolved around cooperation between the Albanian government
and UNMIK as well as around the institutionalised cooperation between
Tirana and Pristina.
Albania's head of state supported UNMIK in efforts to transfer powers
to the elected institutions of Kosovo.
