BELGRADE, Feb 9 (Hina) - The trial of members of the "Zemun Mobster Clan", who are charged with the murder of Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic and a series of other grave crimes, was adjourned again on Monday because of a request
for the suspension of the chairman of the panel of judges at Belgrade's Special Court for Organised Crime conducting the trial, Judge Marko Kljajevic.
BELGRADE, Feb 9 (Hina) - The trial of members of the "Zemun Mobster
Clan", who are charged with the murder of Serbian Prime Minister Zoran
Djindjic and a series of other grave crimes, was adjourned again on
Monday because of a request for the suspension of the chairman of the
panel of judges at Belgrade's Special Court for Organised Crime
conducting the trial, Judge Marko Kljajevic.#L#
Attorney Rajko Danilovic, who represents the wife of the late PM,
Ruzica Djindjic, told the Belgrade-based news agency Beta that some of
the attorneys defending the Zemun Clan "have identified themselves
with their clients and their political motives for the murder of the
prime minister".
"They cannot prevent the continuation of the trial, but they are
trying to do so by abusing all procedural rights," Danilovic said.
