MOSTAR, Feb 4(Hina) - The High Representative's regional office in
southern Bosnia's Mostar on Wednesday called on mayor Hamdija Jahic
and deputy mayor Ljubo Beslic to implement the statute for the city

The call ensued after the media alleged that by setting up a special
unit for the implementation of the new Mostar statute Ashdown had in
effect put the city under international supervision, similarly to the
situation in Brcko, north-eastern Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Ashdown's office in Mostar has denied the possibility of introducing
international supervision in the city, saying in a statement that the
international community and the statute implementation unit will only
help the city authorities reorganise Mostar.
