ZAGREB, Jan 28(Hina) - The head of the Croatian Bishops' Conference (HBK) Family Affairs' Council, Bishop Valter Zupan, issued a message on the occasion of the world day of life, February 1, warning that Croatia was in the eleventh
hour to take well-organised and concrete measures to prevent a demographic downfall of the nation.
ZAGREB, Jan 28(Hina) - The head of the Croatian Bishops' Conference
(HBK) Family Affairs' Council, Bishop Valter Zupan, issued a message
on the occasion of the world day of life, February 1, warning that
Croatia was in the eleventh hour to take well-organised and concrete
measures to prevent a demographic downfall of the nation.#L#
"We expect the government to make courageous steps to help numerous
families, particularly mothers," the bishop said in his message
headlined "Make Bold Steps in Promoting Life". The message is the
first direct and public message to the new government.
According to Zupan, politicians should see families for what they
really are - the basic cell of the Croatian society.
