president of the State Judicial Council (DSV) at a session on
Thursday.#L#
At the last session of the former parliament, Gudelj was appointed
member of the DSV instead of Supreme Court judge Stanko Hautz, who
retired in September. In line with a decision of DSV members, Gudelj
succeeded Hautz at the helm of this body.
The DSV has 11 members, seven judges and two representatives of law
professors and attorneys each. The president always comes from the
ranks of judges.
Gudelj was appointed president of the Supreme Court's Judicial Council
in March 2001.
