ZAGREB, Jan 9 (Hina) - An investigating judge at the Sisak County Court has discontinued an investigation of former members of the Croatian Army in the Homeland War -- Sinisa Mazuran, Vlado Josic and Vlado Buzuka from Sisak -- whom the County Prosecutor's Office in Sisak charged with war crimes against civilians, Sisak County Court president Danko Kovac said on Friday.#L# The three men were suspected of involvement in the disappearance of Serb Dusan Komosar from Sisak who, according to his wife Milja, was abducted from his Sisak apartment on October 19, 1991 and has been missing since. The investigation of the three suspects has been discontinued at the motion of the County Prosecutor's Office in Sisak, which decided not to prosecute the three men because evidence did not show that they committed the crime they were charged with. The three Croatian soldiers were arrested on June 30 last year. The investigation was launched on July 2. They were released from detention on August 28. During the investigation they defended themselves by remaining silent. After the three men were apprehended Homeland War associations from Sisak-Moslavina County sent a note of protest to the judicial bodies which launched the investigation. (Hina) it sb
