In Berlin, Croatia's PM will attend an international forum organised
by the Bertelsmann foundation. The event, which will be held on
Friday and Saturday, has pooled many politicians, statesmen and
business people from Europe.
The CDU President Merkel wished the new Croatian government much
success in its work and in bids to integrate Croatia into the European
Union and NATO.
Sanader told reporters he had informed Mrs. Merkel of guidelines of
the new Croatian government's agenda. "We enjoy full support of Mrs.
Merkel, who is one of the most influential politicians in Europe," he
said.
In the German capital, the Croatian PM will hold several bilateral
meetings with his counterparts from other European countries,
including his Turkish, Irish and Romanian colleagues. Sanader was due
to meet German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, but the meeting was
cancelled because of Schroeder's illness.
