PRISTINA, Jan 8 (Hina) - NATO-led peacekeeping forces in Kosovo (KFOR) started a two-day military exercise on Thursday to prove their flexibility and ability to respond rapidly if necessary, KFOR spokesman Chris Thompson said.

The exercise will demonstrate the determination and commitment of
KFOR, NATO and the international community to maintaining the peace
and stability in the region, he said.
The exercise involved 1,000 troops from rapid reaction units. In the
UN-administered territory of Kosovo, there are 20,000 peacekeepers
from 34 countries.
