WASHINGTON, Jan 8 (Hina) - On behalf of US President George Bush, General Richard B. Myers, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, on Thursday presented the Croatian Army Chief of Staff, General Josip Lucic, with a high American
medal, the Legion of Merit, at a ceremony in Fort Myer outside Washington.
WASHINGTON, Jan 8 (Hina) - On behalf of US President George Bush,
General Richard B. Myers, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff,
on Thursday presented the Croatian Army Chief of Staff, General Josip
Lucic, with a high American medal, the Legion of Merit, at a ceremony
in Fort Myer outside Washington.#L#
After the ceremony, Myers and Lucic went to the Pentagon for talks on
bilateral military relations between Croatia and the United States.
Lucic and his associates arrived in the United States last Saturday
for a seven-day official visit. They have visited the USCENTCOM (US
Central Command) in Miami Beach, Florida, the USSOCOM (US Special
Operations Command) and some other departments of the U.S. military.
