ZAGREB, Jan 8 (Hina) - Inflation in Croatia measured by retail prices at the end of last year was 1.8 percent, the lowest rate since Croatia gained independence 13 years ago, the Central Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday.
ZAGREB, Jan 8 (Hina) - Inflation in Croatia measured by retail prices at the end of last year was 1.8 percent, the lowest rate since Croatia gained independence 13 years ago, the Central Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday.#L# Retail prices in December were the same as the month before but 1.8 percent higher than in December 2002. On average, retail prices last year were 1.5 percent higher than in 2002. The annual inflation rate -- December 2003 as against December 2002 -- dropped below two percent for the first time in the last 13 years. Costs of living in December 2003 were 0.1 percent higher than in November but 2.4 percent higher than in December 2002. On average, the living costs last year were 2.1 percent higher than in 2002.
