Speaking of this year's achievements, Sanader said that the launch of Croatia's EU entry talks was a historic step in the completion of a national strategic project which started with the establishment of an independent state, its preservation and liberation.
"We are now facing the joint task of thoroughly implementing reforms that have been launched and conducting negotiations," Sanader said.
"The inevitable globalisation processes require an atmosphere of trust necessary to face the challenges of the future. We are determined to define the strategy of our development on our own, thinking of our children and all those who gave everything they had for Croatia's independence and freedom," the PM said.
"Achieving strong economic growth and development for the sake of better living standards of all Croatian citizens remains our main task," Sanader said in the message.
He also offered his best wishes to the Jewish faithful on the occasion of Hanukkah.
