The magazine will be published six times a year.
Historian Ivo Goldstein, rabbi Kotel Da-Don and the president of the Croatian-Israeli Society, Mihael Montiljo, spoke about the current status of Bet Israel.
Goldstein said that attempts were being made to delegitimise the Zagreb Jewish Municipality.
He went on to say that there was a number of reasons why this was being done, adding that the Zagreb Jewish Municipality had renounced its religious leader without having appointed a new one.
The faithful are on the side of Kotel Da-Don, he said, adding that the community had filed a request to investigate the work of the Zagreb Jewish Municipality because it considered its conduct unlawful.
The Zagreb Jewish Municipality is no longer a religious community and therefore it cannot invite applications for the post of new rabbi, Goldstein said.
Kotel Da-Don said he considered himself the rabbi of Zagreb and that he enjoyed the support of the European community of rabbis, headed by the chief rabbis of France and Great Britain.
Goldstein said that a department for the Jewish language would be opened as part of the department for the Hungarian and Turkish languages at the Zagreb Faculty of Philosophy.
