Croatia assesses that this is the result of exceptional and praiseworthy efforts which the Macedonian government and Prime Minister Vlado Buckovski have made recently, being persistent in the implementation of recommendations and requirements from the EU, the Ivo Sanader cabinet said in a press release.
Zagreb is also confident that this decision confirms the EU's commitment to the implementation of the 2003 Thessaloniki Declaration on the Union's enlargement to southeastern Europe.
