OPATIJA, Nov 23 (Hina) - Non-commissioned officers from
US-Adriatic Charter member states -- Albania, Croatia, Macedonia and the United
States -- and another ten countries met in the northern Croatian Adriatic
resort of Opatija on Wednesday for a two-day conference. The purpose
of the conference is to intensify cooperation and build an effective
partnership between the three Southeast European countries and NATO.
The US-Adriatic Charter was signed in Tirana in 2003 in order to speed
up the process of accession of Albania, Croatia and Macedonia to NATO.
