SARAJEVO, Dec 12 (Hina) - NATO troops in Bosnia-Herzegovina on
Monday morning carried out an operation in Pale outside Sarajevo in an attempt
to break up the network of helpers of Hague tribunal indictee Radovan Karadzic,
the NATO headquarters in Sarajevo said in a statement. The
operation included a search of the house of Dragan Stajkic, who is believed to
be part of the network supporting the former Bosnian Serb leader.
The purpose of the operation was to gather information that may lead to
Karadzic's arrest.
Local media reported that Stajkic had been employed with the radio
station Sveti Jovan, which was banned and whose owner was Karadzic's daughter
Sonja Jovicevic.
