The report was confirmed for Hina by County Prosecutor Bozidar Piljic.
Zeljko Bulic, a councillor of the Independent Democratic Serb Party (SDSS) in the Vukovar Town Council, was accused of taking part in the attacks on Vukovar by independent councillor Pilip Karaula at a session of the Town Council on Tuesday. Karaula showed other deputies a photo showing Bulic wearing a uniform worn by members of Serb units.
Vukovar County Police Department spokesman Miroslav Janic said the police had started gathering evidence and information on Bulic's possible involvement in the attacks.
"So far we have not come across information that Bulic committed a crime against values protected by international law, such as war crime or genocide," Janic said, adding that the police continued collecting information about the case.
