The SDSS considers the agreement unacceptable and believes that it will have far-reaching financial, legal and political consequences for Croatia and the post-war order in united Europe, the party said.
"The wrongs which this agreement aims to right will not lead only to new injustices, but possibly destabilise Europe's legal and political heritage," reads the statement.
The party also believes that the policy towards ethnic minorities cannot be oriented towards the past, but towards the present and the future.
"We are confident that a minority policy that is oriented towards the present and the future can alleviate or set right injustices against foreign nationals by creating such political, cultural and legal practice that will make it possible for them, citizens of Europe, and likely citizens of Croatia in the future, to exercise the rights which they could not exercise earlier," the party says, adding that all other solutions are harmful and unacceptable.
