The leader of the HSS branch in Konavle, Ivo Mujo, said the government's decision was insulting for all Konavle residents who had been trying to claim back their nationalised property for years.
Representatives of the Association for the Protection of Ownership Rights have been fighting unsuccessfully for years so that farmers could claim back their land and in their efforts they enjoy the verbal support of the executive authorities and political parties, the Association's president, Ivo Braticevic, said.
He said the Association was particularly dissatisfied with the fact that Konavle residents had claimed back their land in Sutorina in neighbouring Montenegro and were still unable to claim back their land in Croatia.
