ZAGREB, Nov 23 (Hina) - Members of parliament on Wednesday eveningwrapped up a debate on the draft national budget for 2006 which, underthe government's motion, is expected to amount to 98.8 billion kuna.
ZAGREB, Nov 23 (Hina) - Members of parliament on Wednesday evening wrapped up a debate on the draft national budget for 2006 which, under the government's motion, is expected to amount to 98.8 billion kuna.

In a polemic debate, MPs of the ruling party argued the draft was development-oriented, whereas the opposition countered by saying it was unrealistic and that it made it impossible to carry out reforms.

Deputies may move amendments to the draft budget by noon tomorrow, said Deputy Speaker Luka Bebic.

Also today, Finance Minister Ivan Suker presented a bill on the execution on next year's budget.

Parliament convenes tomorrow.
