ZAGREB, Nov 22 (Hina) - The opposition in the Croatian Parliament, apart from the Party of Rights (HSP) on Tuesday saids that the government's draft budget for 2006 was not development-oriented and that it was political. They said the draft budget did not include necessary reforms for the revival of Croatia's economy. The ruling Croatian Democratic Union, however, believes this was one of the best budget so far.

The opposition criticised the Government saying that the draft budget short-changed local communities.

Sime Prtenjaca of the HDZ said the 2006 budget guaranteed macroeconomic and social stability.

National minorities in parliament also said they would support the budget, but said more funds needed to be allocated for the Roma community.
