The launching of the project was attended by county and municipal officials and the Austrian Ambassador to Croatia, Helga Konrad.
Konrad said that Austria had so far been helping Croatia in the reconstruction of housing facilities and infrastructure destroyed in the war and would now increase assistance in the sectors of economy and tourism.
Vukovar County prefect Bozo Galic said Austria was the leading investor in Croatia and added that he expected part of those investments to reach eastern Slavonia.
Mladen Ivandic of the Zagreb Institute of Tourism said the implementation of the project would start when individual projects were defined and market surveys of current and future visitors on the county's tourist supply were carried out.
