The Croatian Tourist Board, which carried these findings, has said that the poll, conducted by phone, covered 1,050 persons, of whom 50 percent decided on the destination of their summer holidays only after March, while as many as 63 percent opted for last minute packages.
The same institute has reported that despite the growing attraction of Croatia and Turkey, most German tourists spent their summer holidays at home (32 percent), Italy (11 percent) and Spain (nine percent).
