The motion of the Radicals is supported by members of parliament from the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), whose former leader Slobodan Milosevic is also indicted by the Hague-based UN war crimes tribunal.
The Radicals say that by inviting the head of the Roman Catholic Church to visit Serbia, Tadic violated the Serbian Constitution as he "directly interfered in the relations between the Roman Catholic and Serb Orthodox Church".
They accuse him of having done damage to the Serbian state and the Serbian people by this move, and they accuse the Roman Catholic Church of having been the mastermind of crimes which the Ustasha perpetrated against Serbs during the Second World War.
