The chief of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Douglas Davidson, said Montenegro's independence would not encourage either of Bosnia's two entities to want to separate from the country. He added the situation in Bosnia was different than in Serbia and Montenegro because nobody in Bosnia wanted secession.
According to Davidson, everyone's priority in Bosnia now was how to become part of the European Union.
Serbia and Montenegro Deputy Foreign Minister Predrag Boskovic said the OSCE and the international community must start dealing with the Kosovo issue as soon as possible because delays might cause new instability in the region.
