The project, developed at the initiative of the Faculty for Agricultural Economics and Rural Development in Debrecen, Hungary, is expected to last three years. It is financed from the EU programme for higher education, project coordinator Josip Juracak said.
The project budget amounts to some 530,000 euros, of which 500,000 was ensured by the EU.
The TEMPUS project provides funding for the development of higher education. It is within the jurisdiction of the European Commission and is intended for acceding countries, Juracak said.
Other partners in the project are Wageningen University from the Netherlands, Hohenheim University from Germany, and the Scottish Agricultural College from Great Britain.
