During the visit, the Croatian-Indian Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation will hold its eighth session. Also envisaged are meetings between the two countries' business people, meetings with officials of the Indian Commerce and Industry Ministry, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and the Indian Planning Commission.
The Croatian delegation will comprise representatives of construction, electric, engineering, commerce, shipbuilding and oil companies.
Croatian-Indian trade was USD50 million in 2004. In this year's first eight months, bilateral trade went up 29 per cent, while Croatian exports were three and a half times higher than in the same period in 2004, amounting to USD2.4 million. Imports from India in this year's first eight months were USD38 million, an increase of 24 per cent.
