Mesic and Lytvyn said that good bilateral relations were not hampered with outstanding issues. The two officials, however, said it was necessary to work on the strengthening of economic relations, the statement said.
The two agreed that the liberalisation of the visa regime was one of the important condition for advancing economic cooperation, notably in tourism. Lytvyn said Ukraine was interested in cooperation in metal industry and the Druzba Adria project, for which he said it was important to consider all aspects.
The talks also focused on the protection of national minorities, the statement said.
Earlier today, the Ukrainian Parliament Speaker met his Croatian counterpart, Vladimir Seks.
