ZAGREB, Sept 21 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader said in Parliament on Wednesday that the explosion in the British Embassy in Zagreb caused Croatia harm in the international community.

He said that responding to Miroslav Rozic of the Croatian Party of Rights who wondered whether the PM regretted his statement because it was later discovered that the explosion was planted by a person from the criminal milieu, a member of the embassy staff.

Croatia is a safe country, Sanader told Rozic, adding that his assessments of the situation and the readiness of police officers was theatrical.

Health Minister Neven Ljubicic dismissed claims that medication expenses have increased after the introduction, namely the announcement that administrative fees for health protection services would go up as of October 1.

Interior Minister Ivica Kirin said the police would use its authority to strictly punish rioters at stadiums and prevent new incidents. The Interior Ministry is drawing up amendments to the law on preventing incidents at sports events, Kirin said.

Agriculture Minister Petar Cobankovic said that his ministry would take all necessary measures to entirely draw funds from EU pre-accession programmes for agricultural development.
