The Troika discussed Croatia at an informal meeting, a spokesman for the mission of Great Britain, which is the current chair of the EU, told the Hina correspondent in the United States.
The mission's official said the EU Troika had considered progress which Croatia had made in its cooperation with the UN war crimes tribunal, He declined to comment on details or results of the New York meeting which was attended by officials of the Britain and Austria, the current and the next EU chair, and officials from the office of EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy and the European Commission who are taking part in the ongoing 60th session of the UN General Assembly.
The Troika did not formalise any agreement on a date for the next session at a ministerial level of a task force in charge of evaluating Croatia's cooperation with the tribunal, the British mission's representative said.
Croatia's Foreign Minister Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic is expected to discuss this topic with her Austrian counterpart Ursula Plassnik on the fringes of the UN General Assembly's session.
