By being granted membership of the European Union we have arrived at common positions and one of them is support for the start of Croatia's EU entry talks, the Slovene news agency STA quoted Brazauskas as saying.
On his tour of Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia, Jansa is accompanied by Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel and Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak.
This is the first official visit of the Slovene prime minister to a foreign country since his centre-right coalition came to power at the end of last year. Jansa has paid unofficial visits to Croatia, Hungary and some other countries.
Jansa's office said the prime minister chose the Baltic countries for his first official visit because those countries were among the first to recognise Slovenia's independence in 1991.
