The Croatian Embassy in Indonesia is continuing intensive negotiations with the Indonesian Foreign Ministry, reads the statement.
Over the weekend the Croatian Embassy agreed on further steps to be taken to release the ship.
Indonesian Foreign Minister Hassan Wirayuda has been authorised by President Susil Bambang Yudhoyon to solve the problem as soon as possible, the statement said.
Indonesia does not want to disrupt its good relations with Croatia, the ministry said adding that agreement was reached for negotiations about the provision of the guarantee to continue.
