ZAGREB, Aug 17 (Hina) - A member of the managing board of DOM
Holding, Damir Ostoja, has said that he learnt from the media of the Croatian
government's decision to withdraw its approval for a majority stock in the
Opatija-based Liburnia Riviera hotel chain to be awarded to DOM holding and SN
Holding. Ostoja has said that he consulted a lawyer who told him
that the agreement could not be cancelled which DOM Holding reached with the
Croatian Privatisation Fund (HFP) on taking on part of shares from the Liburnia
Riviera hotel chain to compensate for the government's debt towards the
holding.
Ostoja sent Hina a statement reporting that consultations with lawyers
are under way and that he will hold a news conference on Thursday to inform the
public of the position of DOM Holding and SN Holding on the matter.
