ZAGREB, July 28 (Hina) - In the first six months of 2005 the Adriatic Oil Pipeline (JANAF) company earned net profits amounting to 13.04 million kuna or 17.55 kuna per share, which is three times more than in the same period last year and 60 percent more than planned, reads a financial report carried by the Zagreb Stock Exchange.

In the first half of this year, 3.5 million tonnes of oil was transported via JANAF's pipelines, which is four percent more than in the same period last year. The volume of oil storage increased several times.

Operational revenue rose by 25 percent to 136.4 million kuna, while expenses remained the same as last year - 122.13 million.

However, total revenue dropped by 15 percent to 141.2 million, which was mostly due to a drop in financial revenue from last year's 57.16 million to 4.8 million at the end of June.

Company officials say that oil transport revenue in the first six months increased by 18 percent and that foreign markets accounted for 78 percent of the revenue.

Oil storage revenue increased fivefold, while the revenue from the storage of oil products increased by 57 percent.
