ZAGREB, July 25 (Hina) - The NATO Chief Commander for Europe,
General James L. Jones, who is on an official visit to Croatia, on Monday met
Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, Defence Minister Berislav Roncevic and the
Croatian Army Chief of Staff, General Josip Lucic. The talks
between General Jones and Croatian Defence Minister Roncevic focused on the
results of reforms in the Amred Forces in light of Croatia's joining NATO.
The NATO Chief Commander for Europe, Jones was also received by the
Supreme Commander of the Croatian Armed Forces, President Mesic and a state
secretary in the Croatian Foreign Ministry, Hido Biscevic.
No statements were made today but a press conference will be held
tomorrow.
